Our Approach to Wedding Photography

Olá! We are Teresa and Dado, a wedding photography duo based in Portugal, specializing in destination weddings and intimate celebrations across Porto, Lisbon, Alentejo, Algarve, Douro Valley, Comporta and beyond. For more than a decade, we have photographed couples from around the world who choose Portugal for its light, landscapes, food, kindness, and unique venues.

Our approach is documentary and discreet. We focus on focusing on genuine interactions, subtle moments and the atmosphere of the day to capture your story honestly and beautifully. So, if you’re looking for images that feel honest, stylish, and genuinely emotional, we’d love to be part of your day.
On this page, you’ll find portfolio highlights from recent weddings across Portugal. A blend of the richness of analog photography with the reliability of digital to build a full, expressive wedding story.

Our style balances unobtrusive, candid moments with a refined, editorial eye. We look for honest interactions and graceful compositions so your gallery reads like a heartfelt, artful narrative. Film brings warmth and softness; digital gives us the flexibility to document every moment from morning preparations to the last dance.

We’re drawn to couples who want more than a formulaic wedding. People who prioritize real connections, shared laughter, and meaningful celebration with loved ones. Whether your plans include a wedding in a historical venue, a vow exchange in a golden field in Alentejo, or a cozy family gathering on the banks of the Douro River, we’ll capture the atmosphere and the little details that matter.

Portugal’s diverse landscapes, from historic city streets and tile facades to dramatic Atlantic coastlines, sunlit vineyards, and charming village squares, offer endless possibilities and make it an ideal backdrop for your wedding.

If our approach resonates with your vision, get in touch. We’d be delighted to hear about your plans and explore how we can document your wedding. We're always excited to connect as we love to chat, so drop us a line!

FAQ

Do both photographers always attend the wedding?

What is your approach as wedding photographers in Portugal?

The way we work and our approach on a wedding is very natural. We like to photograph authentically, with naturalness and simplicity, to give you real, true, and emotional memories.

After becoming parents, we realize that we can't always photograph a wedding together, as there are now many other factors beyond our control. However, we always make every effort to do so. When we can't, we always hire a trusted member from our circle to ensure the continuity of our work, and we make sure that at least one of us is always present.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes! As passionate about discovering new places, just say "come," and we

will go!

We have been so lucky that couples took us to many places to document their wedding. Spain, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Italy, Azores Islands...

When will we receive our wedding photos?

Photographs will be delivered within 45 working days. In high season, this period can be up to 90 working days, but we will always keep you updated.

All the photos are delivered, edited by us, and in high resolution, without a watermark. Delivery is made through a private online gallery.

How many photos do you deliver for a wedding?

On average, a 10 hour wedding yields about 700 final images, but this is just a number. We are judicious in our selection; we want to give you photographs that tell the story of your day. We prioritize quality over quantity. We will be happy to share some complete galleries with you.

Do you offer wedding videography services?

No, because we believe in specialization. As photographers, we want to tell your story only in photography. We leave the video to our fellow videographers and friends, who are super talented and who we will be happy to recommend.

Can we share our wedding gallery with guests?

How many hours of wedding photography coverage do you offer?

Yes! The gallery allows your guests to access the photographs, so they can download them for free, without watermarks, and in high resolution.

Our coverage for the day is up to 10 hours, but if the hours contracted aren’t enough, you can always hire more at 300€ per hour.

Do you take family and group photos during weddings?

How does the booking process work?

We do, and we know that these moments are often seen as boring, but we believe these photographs are a family heritage, and they become even more valuable as the years go by. We try our best to make this moment quick and very relaxed. On the other hand, long group picture sessions could break the rhythm of the day.

After we have all the info from your side, we will make the contract and send it through a very intuitive digital platform to make the whole process as easy as possible.

Even though a moment only lasts a short time, we can remember it in our minds forever.
